Strangely Accurate Movie Synopses
May 9, 2010 — robStrangely Accurate Movie Synopses
When I was a kid, before internet was widely available, if I was unfamiliar with a movie, I had to look it up in T.V. Guide. There in the back of the publication, were lists of films, complete with a plot synopsis of each film that was playing that week. Years later Steve Giuliano told me a story about a T.V. Guide synopsis for The Wizard of Oz that was off, but strangely accurate: " A young woman goes to a magical land and kills the first person she meets. Later she teams up with three others only to kill again."

Mine was a short film that I wrote way back in 2005. The boys and I made it through principal photography, editing, and almost a quarter of sound mixing and visual effects before scheduling conflicts and motivational exhaustion forced us to throw in the towel.
